How Do You Tell If Convict Cichlids Are Pregnant

hi i wanted to know how to tell if my convict cichlid was pregnant

They aren't internal breeders (so don't get pregnant in the same way livebearers do)... they become gravid and then lay eggs. So do you mean is she gravid?

Convict cichlids are egg layers so if she is slightly bloated then she may be eggbound.

usually just a case of adding water

but i would say what stang says, and if yours is, please show us some pics of the babies when they start to grow, they are such cute fish when tiny.. like woodlice

yeah i know they lay eggs so yeah i meant gravid sorry
