Hi all
I hope im in the write place to ask this.
Im starting to breed bettas and making my own tank to house the fry.
The tank will be about 150cm long 50cm wide and 20cm high. It will be long but not deep, inside will all be sectioned off for the males, anyway that's not important.
Im basically wanting to know what the best material will be to use to build it. Im thinking plastic other than glass as this will be lighter.
Any ideas??

Does it have to be viewable from all sides? If not use plywood for the outside and fibreglass on the inside. Cheap as chips.

yeah i would rather it be viewable

Coolio, on mine i have 1 big viwing piece of glass rest is fiberglass and plywood. Go with acrylic and it's lighter but easier to scratch.

Just get a cheap used tank. It in will save you money and time.

You could make your tank out of glass or acrylic I for get what king of acrylic it has to be aquarium safe.
