hey ppl found this site by chance and must say compared to some u folks here i know as much bout fish as blair does politics LOL anyway just wondering alot of ppl after the name of the fish add a sorta code like L034 for plecs and wot haveya wot is this??? and is it that important??

Good question, if you don't know. L-Numbers were developed by the German aquarist magazine DATZ (Das Aquarium - Terrarium Zeitschrift (The Aquarium - Terrarium Magazine) in order to straighten out confusion with identification of species in the family Loricariidae or "plecos"
