I HAVE BEEN BREEDING HILL STREAM LOACH NOW FOR 5 MONTHS NOW WITH GOOD RESULTS,TO START WITH I BOUGHT 2 MALE AND 3 FEMALES,LOST ONE MALE TWO DAYS AFTER
I BOUGHT THEM,THE MALE I LOST STARTED TO GO A LIGHT COLOUR,BEFORE I COULD TREAT HIM IT WAS TO LATE,APPARENTLY ITS A FUNGUS,IT GET A HOLD ON THE FISH
VERY QUICK.BY THE WAY THE HILL STREAM LOACH I HAVE ARE (SEWELLIA LINEOLATA)
 
There my favourite hilstream loaches. do you have any pics?
 
Yes that is a disease common with the S.lineolate, apparantly Maracyn and Maracyn 2 combined is good to fight against it. What kind of set up are you running? A river manifold or lots of flow from powerheads and filters? You got any pics?

How have you found breeding them?
 
When you say its been a good start, what has happened? I didn't think you could breed this loach....
 
You can breed it. Check on loaches.com, but it has been done by numerous people now.
