guppy (strange behavior) *Great news UPDATED12:58

Those are all great Gouramis. According to the profile on Croaking Gouramis, Here, they might be pretty shy. They are very pretty fish though. Not that common in stores, I don't think, so you may have to order them in too.

A Honey Gourami actually is a Dwarf Gourami...So I'm a little confused as to which Dwarf Gourami you like?

And yes, Cories would be great. As long as you don't have a huge gravel substrate.

well, the index here has them separate?!?!

I wonder why?

Fishies

Guppy has decided to come out of the corner, but hes bein' stupid... He's staying about 1/2'' away from the intake hose, and he's playing in that current...

The preggers have bonded together to help fight off the harassing one. It's pretty cool. The less pregger is always beside the very pregger one helping her, fight him off :) .

I think he either got what he wanted, or they shook him up good, b/c so far he's not touvhed her.

Neon:

He likes to get in the bubble stream and float to the top. And then he'll doit again.

Here's what I contemplating doing...

I'll wait for my cycling 10 g (no parasite ever) tank to get finished cycling (probably 2-3 more days), and then since it is cycled for 5.0 ppm ammonia, I figure its cycled for 9 neons...

I'll go a head a buy all his friends and then add him to that tank w/ them (after I've treated all I need to treat in that tank) until my tank has cycled, then add them 2-3 @ a time to the new tank when it's cycled

EDIT: It's not HUGE, but it's large.... I'd say that they're prolly to big though, jus' b/c that's my luck... BUT I have REAL gravel and I love it!! I wasn't crazy about its brown color (Bought 25Lb bag b/c it saved me $$$), but now I can't imagine why I don't like it :D

Probably so people get an idea of what they are buying. If you just say Dwarf Gourami in the Fish Index, people will think all Dwarf Gouramis grow the same size, and have the same needs. :)

Sounds like the fishies are doing well! The Neon enjoys playing with the Bubbles, it seems!

Sounds good about the cycling and Neons. He'll be better off in a cycled tank with his buddies, while the 29 cycles.

i figured it would be best for him :D

He's lonely and not very hardy, so we'll put him where he doesn't have to be lonely or hardy :D

And then he'll be one happy little Neon!

man i wish i could get some spira :grr:

so I could get him a hand full of friends atleast, and not have to wait for the other tank to cycle. I'm only guessing it'll be done it 2-3 days

here are it's stats

amm-.0
nitrite- WAY more than 10.0 (that's the highest test'll go)
nitrates- b/t 60 - 80

yep, and before I added biozyme it would go up like 10-20 everyday, but now it goes up 30-40 every day, It's working, but not very well...

O ####, he's got a white fuzz over his eye and behind it...

Please don't tell me it columnaris (sp) could it be?

could I try to treat him with fungus clear...

It says it gets rid of white cottony growth around eyes and mouth, and other prts of fish...

and could I out both the parasite treatment and the fungus treatment in the same tank?

I say fungus. I'm really not sure about using the two treatments at the same time...you may want to add a bit of salt too. I'd stop the gill flukes treatment, and treat for the fungus, for now.

Actually, they should be okay...different active ingredients. If the fish look bad after doing both, do a water change, and then just use the fungus treatment.

yeah, not one active ingredient in common, so if it is just fungus, is it deadly? I've been through alot with this little bugger, and don't fell like having to burry him now.

Fungus isn't deadly. It can be cured. Just lots of water changes, some salt, and treatment. :)

I guess it's pretty potent [the treatment]... The water is a DEEP green...

okay enough of that now. I've just read a lot about columnaris (SP) this week to get me scared...

Now, I'd like to change the subject to my wc's

They are very healthy, if you ask me, too healthy.

They are VERY, VERY over weight. What, if anything, can I do to get them to lose weight. I only feed once per day, and they obviously get their share. The newest one I have is starting to get a little pudgy.

feed them peas one day a week, skip one day each week, and feed less on the days you do feed them.....fish don't need as much food as we generally seem to think they do!
