Guppies

I am keen to add a bit more colour to my tank and thought I could try a couple of guppies. I have no obvious fin nippers. I have always stayed clear of livebearers and do not want to be over run by babies. Is it ok to get 2 or 3, at most, male guppies or will this be a problem with the lack of a female?

There shouldn't be any issues with keeping all male guppies if you keep 5 or more, this minimizes any aggression that may occur between them. Can I ask what else you do have in the tank?

+1 for at least 5, I had 3 males who did nothing but bicker and display to each other and it was really quite annoying to watch. Added 3 more and it definitely lessened.

Thanks for those helpful replies. I think these have made up my mind to look for something else. It would really have had to be a maximum of 3. Just to answer the query, I have 5 Lined barbs( not aggressive) , harlequin rasboras, corys and cardinal tetras.

How about 5-6 male Endlers instead? They're about half the size of Guppy's.

I can't remember seeing any of these in any local shops but will keep a look out.

Sounds like a nice tank of fish you have. My boyfriend has lined barbs/dennison's (same thing ) and they're so nice.
