Green Fire Tetra

Hi everyone,

I just added 9 juvenile Green Fire Tetras to my 140g and I have to say they look great so far. I've kept many types of tetra before but never these guys. They are very lively and so far they like to hang out with my mountain minnows lol. They also like the floating java moss rings I created out of air line tubing and have nibbled a bit at it. They are not timid at all and didn't even bat an eye at my pearl gouami. Interesting little fish with nice red and green color!

Are you talking about Rathbun's Bloodfin Tetras?
I had them for a short while, but they didn't gain a lot of colour. Nice little fish when grown up and shoal surprisingly well Any photos of yours?

Yes, that's them, no pics, can never sort out how to do it. I'm hoping they will look even better when they're mature but they are fairly colourful so far!
