Green Fire Tetra (Aphyocharax rathbuni), a new Tetra for me.

This morning I received these Green Fire Tetras and acclimated them into my QT. They’ve colored up nicely and recently had a small meal. The green and red combo is pretty striking on a smaller fish and I think they’ll go well in the 33g long with the Red Cherry Tetras and Yellow Phantom Tetras.

I've got a school of these. They are nice fish. Males have the white fin tips BTW.
Fattem them up, they look a little skinny.

For those who want them aquahuna in usa has them pretty cheap - though i recommend qt'ing them if purchased...

I will indeed fatten them up some. This will seem like a l….o…..n……g QTing. Luckily they look ok in one of my 24/7 QTs.

That's where I got mine originally, along with Black Phantom Tetras.

Interestingly….I have an order for some Yellow Phantom Tetras (Hyphessobrycon roseus) arriving next week from the Wet Spot. I really liked being able to call them and speak with a human about the order etc. Eventually they will join my Green Fire Tetras in one of my 33g long tanks.
