So I was going to look at the 90 gal. I did not get it I'm going to wait till I have to get another tank when my fish are adults. I don't feel like setting up and taking down my tank again.

So I saw 2 uaru about 5" in an awful state. They have BAD hole in head and Fin rot. There was a little 3" blockheads cichlid I took him too he has a missing tail from fin rot. When I was fishing them out I moved a decoration and half a fish body floated to the top. Omg I had to get these guy to fresh water.

I did not have to pay for the fish she gave them to me. I have them in a 20 gal hospital tank that I will be doing daily wc on. They already look better fins out swimming around. Before they had closed fins and scared to move from the top of the tank so stressed out. They did not even fight when I had them in the net.

There was a skinny common pleco 8" I could not fit him in my tank I'm 100% full now.

I hope to bring this fish back to full health and Then sell them. I don't know. I'm going to have to sell some once they are adults but I have a year till then. These uaru might be stunted due to living in poor water we will see.

I will get photo of these poor babies.

They are very shy when I come to look at them. But when they don't see me I can see them swim around happy and fine. They just hate getting pictures taken I don't blame them since they are not looking their best.

I fed them some Veggie flakes and they LOVED them. SO I think I can save them but it will take some time.

Awww mate thats the worst case ive seen of HITH
Poor fishe's...glad you found them, it will take some effort to nurse them and it probally will never heal fully, however, giving them the life they diserve now is paramount..so glad they found you :good:

You may already know this site, but found it quite informative
HITH

Thanks. I'm such a sucker for a fish in need. It will be interesting to see how they recover. the holes are big but not too deep so I hope they will heal fully. OMG these guys have BIG poop  .

Well done for rescuing those poor fish. They will hopefully recover soon with lots of love, clean water and good food. :good: I've taken in lots of rescued fish in very poor condition, some almost dying. Luckily almost all survived and are now happy healthy fish. Well worth the effort of nursing them

nelly I would give you these guy but I live across the pond.

Well done for taking them on that HITH is gastly!!! sorry but I would have punched the previous owner.

Yeah I was pretty upset to see them like that. The people had no clue there was anything wrong. They said they were glad they were going to a fish person that knows how to care for fish. I thought really I'm suprised you care at all . Oh well they are safe now dent head is doing better then the other he eats. I have yet to see the other eat. I think with time she will come around she was the weaker of the 2.

These guys are growing on me. They are like shy oscars that school. I might sell my true parrot so I can keep these guys we will see they are all still young I have time to work it all out.

Wow they are in a mess! But unfortunately I have seen worse :( I think they are saveable :) Good on you once again :) I think it will be hard to give these up though haha

They might have scares. I think they will be ok the one eats well but the other not so much but they are in a new home.

Yes they will be hard to let go if it comes down to that. I think once my husband sees how big the fish will get then I can upgarde a tank. Right now everyone is mid size to small. I told myself no more fish stores for me.

here is the other rescue. his mate was the dead body I found in the tank. I wonder why she died :grr: he is doing well eatting and he found a cave he likes. I might get him a mate and set up the 20 gal for them once the Uaru are healed.

Poor little guys, makes your blood boil the conditions some fish are kept in :grr:

Lots of clean fresh water, good food and they should recover fairly well, there may well be scarring left, but the main infections should heal well enough.

Let us know how they get on :)
