I think I have been feeding a little too much and now I have some fuzzy gray/white stuff growing in my tank. I read in a few places that it could be a bacterial fungus. It only started growing in the last day - day and a half. My fish managed to fool me into thinking they would eat more than I thought. I had to remove decorations and clean them off as it was getting bad really quickly. Do I need to get a gravel vacuum, or do I just need to wait, or something else entirely?

Just get a siphon in there and clean the gravel, make sure you do some good water changes in the meantime, 50% every couple of days, do you have a picture of the tank?

The stuff is so small that you couldn't see it in any picture I could take. I haven't managed to get a good picture of my tank every time I've tried.

I had exactly the same problem and actually posted about this just a few days ago. I solved the problem by vacuuming all my gravel and introducing algae eaters: Amano Shrimp and Zebra Nerite Snails.
It's sparkling
