Funny Clown Loach, Return?

On a lighter note, here's an old piccie of my clowns "playing dead"

That's a great picture, just as well their eyes give them away for still being alive. My cory's sometimes go into a trace like state, they don't lay on their sides but sort of wedge themselves into funny positions in the weed, if I disturb them they wake up suddenly and are off like a shot and back to hunting around for possible food. The first few times you see them doing it comes as a shock, especially when some of my older girls are getting up over 8 years old.

I have a large clown loach that hides all the time, and sleeps on his side.. I recently bought 4 more and they are such wonderful fish to watch.. I put some sea shells in my tank and I drop algae pellets inbetween them, they love rooting through to find them. Mine will pretty much eat anything offered, but they especially love bloodworm.

Personally I'd never buy a clown loach from any of the UK chain stores that sell them, I have yet to see a tank free of whitespot and its so difficult to clear up with them, I just dont think its worth the risk. We have a specialist store near here that sells them and they quarrantine them for 2 months before they go on sale.

They have a tank of mature ones and I had a chat with the owner of the shop, he said they are real characters and often he finds them lying on their sides sleeping or even upside down!!

My 10 came from MA, they have been fine, it really depends on the shop itself.
