I would say depend's really if you fish require lot's of current![]()

.Got a few of the U series filters running at the lfs and they seem great, much more convenient than the Fluval + series (which are excellent themselves).
They are easier to clean, have better bio filtration capabilities (since you can put in media better than sponge), and the built in spray bar works very well for fish that like slow moving water.
Since they are new it's impossible to tell if they are as reliable s the Fluval + series, but aside from that they are better for most tanks IMO.
For bigger tanks when you are just using internals for mechanical filtration, the+ series might have the edge when filled with filter wool though.
