Looks and sounds like columnaris to me too, especially considering your angel died with similar fluffy patches. You need a medecine suitable for columnaris quickly, borrow the money or something - it should only be a couple of quid. Lower the temp, do daily water changes and gravel vacs (if meds allow), keep the tank spotless, and it should go away.

I've had platies (I know I know - it isn't one but Wilder was saying she'd not had luck with livebearers) come through columnaris very well with treatment - you just need to do it asap, otherwise your tank will be doomed.

What dose of salt are you using with the plec in there? Plecs cant cope with salt very well.

One tabledpoon for 10 gallons. Also, I do have quick cure, would that work? Also the fishies are rubbing against the clay pot in there.

You need to get a stronger med then melafix.
Columnaris can make fish rub.

So would Quick Cure help? I put it in because it is supposed to help fish stop rubbing against things.

If the fish don't have small whitespots like grains of salt on them no don't add the med.
