Our cat brought in fleas and now they are all over the dogs, the furniture, even me! Every person in our house has been bitten by the little bugs, including my almost 1 year of niece! We give the animals flea medication, but it didn't stop the fleas. We switched them to a different kind in January but it hasn't been working. We have tried everything we can think of on the furniture and carpets but nothing works. My Mom says it's time to bomb the house, but I have 5 fish tanks that have no where to go. I have 1 1.5 gallon, 2 5 gallons, and 2 10 gallons. I'd rather not go through the hassle of moving them to someone else's house for a day. That would stress the fish way to much. they have nowhere to go. My sister suggested that I put them outside. Can I do this? My room is right by the back door. They can sit on the back porch. But I have no way of plugging in their filters. Would they be ok outside for a few hours without a filter? Or do they need to stay inside? How do I keep them safe from the bug bombs?

My golden retriever is allergic to everything. she may as well be allergic to the wind! The fleas keep boring so sheer is scratching like crazy. She has 3 balls spots from itching so much. I have a skin spray for her but is doesn't stop fleas.

Bag the fish for the day, move the tanks outside. You could use a storage bin for the fish, provided you keep them in a place that is reasonably warm. A 24 hour ship for bagged fish is pretty standard, often it's closer to 48 hours. Look into food grade diatomaceous earth for flea control, it's an effective non-chemical alternative.
