It's losing a fish to a bent spine that's worrying.

The only other option really is phoning a vet.

Ok thanks i'll order some sera med. Do you have a link to somewhere i can order it in the UK?

Should I still do the second dose of the bacterial med?

Might as well finish the course now.

You can buy it on the link I left.
You can also buy it on ebay I think.
Most lfs don't sell it.
Just put the med name in the search engine and it should fetch at site up that sells it.

Edit - OK it does look like maybe there is some spine bending going on

All you can do is treat for internal parasites.
Also do a search on fish tb so you know what to keep a look out for.

The really ill fish is still hanging on in there but his tilt is becoming worse

Ok so the Sera Nematol turned up this morning, now I just need to know can I add it to the tank with the Interpet 9 or do i need to run some carbon and do a water change?

from what ive read antibiotics are ok to use while using internal parasite meds.

can you increase aeration in the tank. using antibiotics sometimes takes a toll on fish (esp who arent feeling well to begin with), increasing the surface turbulence (lowering waterlevel a bit or adding an airstone) often makes a big difference in the fish's comfort during initial stages of treatment (until they begin to feel better).

I've got an airstone in the tank anyway and the filter disturbs the water surface.
I think it was just unfortunate that by the time the symptoms became obvious he'd been ill for a while. What I find odd is that it's only the tetra that are looking ill at the moment. Lets hope it is parasites and the Sera Nematol sorts it or else i'm looking at TB and that is something i don't want to consider.

Does it say in the sera instuctions if you can use bacterial meds with it.

Don't think anti internal bacteria med has antibiotics in it.
Looked it up once and there wasn't any antibiotic ingredients.
