i was just wondering how long it takes for a flag cichlid, keyhole cichlid and jack dempsey to reach their maximum sizes? just doing a bit of research! as i cant find anything on the internet!

I bought my jack dempsey about a year ago and he was less than 1" back then. He's now just over 4". In general he seems to be growing pretty rapidly. No idea on the other cichlids i'm afriad.

thanks i seem to be finding that everywhere but no info on maximum sizes ( time length ) but thanks again!

You won't find information on time scale probably. Due to the fact it'll vary for different specimens of fish, and other factors including tank size, conditions, what you feed and how often. Remember the old saying; "Nurture vs Nature". Its very very true.

Maximum size for a dempsey is around 10" i do believe :)

yeah the JD can get to be 10" most of the time they only get 8". As soon as they get bigger then the other fish they will start to bully it around.
