I am thinking of leaving them as a pair, 1m, 1f, to see if they breed. I have done research & they do not naturaly shoal & are quite happy as a pair.
I'm glad you have posted on this thread Barry, with you being a ex-fishless cycler, will be good to hear how your water parameters are holding up over the coming weeks. Imo when you have performed your first filter maintnance with no adverse effect on your waters parameters then you know you have a strong and healthy colony of bacterias.Got 6 in my tank as well!
Was tempted by 6 males only because of their colour but went for 3m and 3f.
They have paired up already and coloured up so much more than in LFS! Even the females are vibrantly coloured.
The rummynose shoal tried their best to get them to shoal with them.
The rummynose are so great at shoaling its knackering to watch them!
They are like little torpedo denison barbs.
