Fish For Planted Tank

Hey everyone, i am looking to add something to my 30 g low tech planted tank that would be interesting and look good and get on with (and not get eaten by the following.

4 dwarf neon rainbows
2 bosemani rainbows
5 cherry barbs
1 blue acara
1 flying fox

any ideas

?

bosemani rainbows and blue acara are too large for a 30g you need to be looking more towards apistogramma, laetacara and mikrogeophagus species

well thats whats currently in my tank, unfortunatly when i enquired about those fish in my lfs the guy told me that they would be fine for what i have.

thats the problem with lfs they can sometimes give you bad advise on tank requirments in my experience bosimani rainbows and blue acara need a tank of minimum 75g

a school of tetra, mine are always swimming in and out of the plants, looks good. ive got buenos aires, emporer and red eye tetra. the buenos aires are probably the most active. 8 of those would look good.

thanks i was leaning towards tetras or danios or a combination of both but i dont think i have room

you can easily get a group of at least 5 or 6 tetra in. danios like a long tank they can hoss around in all day. maybe get some smaller tetra if you're not sure. my red eye are a bit smaller than the BA, but theres loads of smaller tetra that i dont know about.
