Hi all,

Are there any alternatives to the standard dried flaky stuff, and the freeze-dried bloodworms?

I don't think the Mrs would be to happy if I put fresh bloodworms in the fridge!!

How about ants? We've got loads of them in our garden (lol)

How 'bout the freezer? There's frz bloodworms, daphnia, br.shrmp, etc...

Depending on the types of fish you have, there are a wide range of frozen foods sealed in blister packs for the freezer. It is very hygenic and very clean. What I have is a tuppaware container with a sealed lid and it holds bloodworms, daphnia, and plankton. All in a blister pack which is individually sealed in blister comparments about 1 1/2"X1" cubes. It doesn't contaminate any of the other foodstuffs in the freezer and I use what I need when I need. If your wife is squeemish about "things" in the freezer, this is the ideal solution. Just label the tupperware/plastic box in BOLD letters first. Something like "FISH FOOD", so she knows not to open it.
