animals are expensive now, you know when you buy a gerble or another small animal you are expected to take it to a small animal vet, they eat them in other parts of the world, I'm not taking anything that size to a vet, but for that I am villanised, ponds are cheeper to keep though, you should build yourself one.

I tried to convince my parents into turning our pool into one large pond...they didn't go for it.

Does an outdoor pond have to have a screen over it? Does it get dirty if it is just left outside with no covering? My mom was interested in building a small maybe 3 or 4 foot pond in the backyard to keep some goldies or something in.

Ponds are even cheaper if they are built from existing pools, just get rid of all the chlorine and add some fish while shes not looking ;) Ponds get no dirter than pools, its best to put a net over them in the fall in order to avoid having to pull out leaves, great way to keep fish inexpensively.

My mom woulf freak if she saw fish swimming in our pool. My dad would probably put his fishing pole in there and try to catch them out. I think we will build a small pond in the summer. Then my two goldies can go out there.
