The red ones fins have been shredded by a not-so-angelic Angelfish, this happened unnoticed by me in the past few days, poor betta is looking like a vagabond, I noticed he was staying behind a fake plant most fo the time and only stuck to that side of the tank even when going up for air or food, and then I saw the fins in tatters and teheAngel or should I say Devilfish taunting him from time to time, the poor betta never reacted.
While my first betta that I had quarantined in a bowl due to constipation has lost the swollen belly by fasting and a diet of peas but its upper body fin has collapsed and now just lags limply like a ribbon with its brilliant silky colours chnaging shades under different light conditions.
I seperated the red and put it in the bowl, and the bowl one back into the tank, the Angel started attacking that one two but after a while the betta started snapping back at it, initially betta was a bit taken aback and was acting timid, the red one meanwhile is now showing his aggresiveness whenever he sees the black one swin by in the tank.
