Yeah I have wired up quite a few plugs ecpecially where the reptiles are involved so as I said if the colours are the same there should be very little problem. Thanks for all the help. The filter is ordered now so I will let you know how I get on.

Well my filtered arrived today. Go it set up and started easily . Very impressed the fish tank water is already a lot clearer. SO thanks everyone who helped.

P.s also I have to sadly admit how happy I a it is see through I keep going back to watch all the bits going up through the filter and getting trapped. Now how sad is that?

I also have not bothered rewireing the plug, decided the adapter looked pretty substantial and I decided I didn;t want to risk not being able to claim on the gaurentee if something goes wrong.
