so, I’m redoing my hillstream tank to no mechanical filtration, as I’m going to add micro fauna to the algae I’m already growing in that tank… it’s a 55 gallon, I pulled one of my Tidal hob filters, and have 2 sponge filters each rated for 65 gallon tanks, rolling pretty good right now… the whole back of the tank is lined with air bars, in addition to the 2 new air powered sponge filters… I had a few LED spot lights I bought originally to highlight interesting things in a tank, but those areas grew algae like magic… so they are now on this tank pointed at rock piles made from 2-4 inch stones… the tank is still fully stocked and still has the original 48 inch LED tank light, as well as sun rise and sun set lighting… I know, probably won’t interest anyone else, but I’m excited about it’s potential to produce aufwuchs

best ways to introduce “flow” to your tank, yet safe for small critters???
I’m wanting try try an experiment in my hillstream tank… I want to introduce live microorganisms into my algae, in a way make man made aufwucks from my sterile aquarium algae… so, I’ve bought this kit to play with, while I make some changes to the tank, removing the filters that would vacuum up...
