favorite livebearer

I think my Guppies are adorable, and love the fact that they are so prolific in their numbers. But I'm trying to get my hands on some little Mosquito Fish...just as soon as I can get to the pet store before they're ALL sold out again.

I think swordies will always be my favorite. I've got a 55 gallon and a 75 gallon plus 4 10 gallon fry tanks and the only thing in any of them is swordies and their friends the cory cats. I'm particularly fond of the lyretail variety and my favorite color swordie is black.

Yeah I love the lyretail swordies as well. Only problem is none of my lyretails have survived longer than 6 weeks. Kinda frustrating.

I am still waiting for my swordies and platies to give me hybrid fry.....one minute they look pregnant, then they don't, then they do......sigh

I think (Silver) Mollies look great....they always seem to be 'smiling' and I've yet to meet one that isn't friendly (I know it's the food they're after and they're not wagging their tails to see me......but you know what I mean)

I feel like such a hypocrite. I swore platies as my favorite livebearer and went and bought 6 swordtails today!

I recently read platies are harder to breed because their babies are smaller and also go to thinking....I can keep swordtails no problem since I know what I'm doing now!

SOOOO.....I got 3 reds and 3 pineapples (both lots are 1m/2f). They're gorgeous swimming around in my 55 gallon amongst the driftwood and greenery....and I plan on 6 more of the same.

OK so now it looks like swordtails are edging out on platies if these do well!!

Swordatails are my absolute favorite livebearer. My Mom used to have a livebearer tank setup when I was little and I always liked the swords. I am currently trying to convince my husband to let me get another tank so I can do a livebearer setup.

to get some it would have to be Endlers,
hands down, no contest. So I voted other.

I voted other. Though I love most livebearers (don't like mollies much though ), my favourites have to be the bold characodon/black prince, knife livebearers and the tiny mosquito fish
