Hi Eel I deleted your email by accident and you cant use PM function until you have made 15 posts I think.
Anyway, did you buy it used? If so the filter media may be blocked if so clean the media in a bucket in old tank water.
On a spraybar pointing vertically the water jets up 2-3" for the full length of the bar. if not make sure the impellor is fitted correctly and hoses are the correct size ie not too long!
Also if you turn the pump off, shut off the water to the hose, then make sure you fill the inlet pie full of water to the priming point then open the water shut off valve it should fill the canister and drive all the air out if any is trapped. Make sure the canister is full before turning the filter back on or you will trap air! Hope that helps. Post here if you need more help!
