New tank started yesterday.took a very long time but loved every minute.white silica is taking forever to settle.

Did you cycle it or add mature media? Curious since I can see some fishies in the last pic. What are they btw?

Thanks.one of this morning photos.sands settling nicely now.i used mature media from old tank once the temp was ok.i have 4 plates.3wcm.3otos.looking to put gouramis in next but will wait a couple of weeks I think.
