No not really, they don't take any interest in the hobby, only moan how much i spend on the hobby, lol.

My sister is addicted now, but she is my only supporter. My mom think's Im nuts and my friends do too. They say they don't need to goto an aquarium anymore, that they can just come to my house and look at all my fish. :D

my girlfriend thinks i am nuts lol but still is interested in hearing my fish stories  and if i move in with her she better get used to it lol

Lol Debiasir

My parents support me finacely alittle bit. Mostly what I can come up with though. Once in awhile they'll buy my new plants, fish food, cleaners, ect.

My parents support me as they see it as an interesting hobby and not a waste of money.. The don't support me financially but then i would'nt expect them to lol.

Everyone who has seen my tanks are pretty amazed by them rather than thinking I am crazy... that is unless they are all very two-faced! hah... -_-

My husband just wants me to be happy, so even though he isn't into it all, he doesn't hassle me. He even bought me 2 55g tanks for our anniversary back in April. What a sweetie!

My mother put up with it when we were living there (before April, when all I had was a 20g and 3 or 4 10g and a 5g) She thinks I am crazy, but didn;t object, as it was my money. My sister moved in when we moved out and now she is addicted, filling the room with tanks. Somehow, I htink Mom blames me, but I took my tanks with me when I moved, so I don't see how it can be MY fault. ;)

My daughters are getting fish crazy, and I suppose that IS my fault. But it is a valuable lesson in caring for your environment, nature and other living things. As a Home Schooling mom, anything that can be educational is welcome. B)

I don't really have anyone hassling me. A little teasing, yes, but that is in good fun. Anyone who teases knows they are going to get it back.

There are worse things than keeping fish, no matter how many tanks you have.

My husband and I took up fish keeping as a new hobby which we thought would be restful. But it ain't! WE spend more time arguing about how to stock the tank, whether or not we are overstocked, which new features to buy, how much to feed them, what to feed them, which are the nicest fish, how wonderful my dwarf frog is (or isn't in his opinion) etc etc. Calming? restful? Not in our house!!!! :( :p

However, my 17 year old son has developed a keen interest and has inherited our smaller discarded tanks as they came along - yes we have gone from tiny to medium to large!!!

My daughter is interested but only up to a point. For example she likes the frog but cannot understand our excitement - like "oh! there's Spike (male Tiger barb) showing off again", "eeh! look at wilma, isn't she cheeky"

Some people just don't know how to enjoy themselves!!! :-(

All of my friends laugh at me. They tease me, and my mom yells at me when I bring home something new. I've had to resort to hidding everything until I can get it into my room (up stairs), and pray that she doesn't come up here. Lol. She really freaked when she found out how much money was sunk into it :/

My parents could care less one way or another. I pay for everything and do all the work, so it's no big deal. My friends love it because they can ask me anything and I can tell them everything they need to know about it. When they come over to my house and ask what this or that is, and why I have it I can tell them everything.

I have a friend who was at a wedding where the centre pieces were goldfish in bowls. Cool idea, but no one will know how to look after them. My friend took the fish home to give to his nephew, and the fish died the next day in the little bowl. My friend went out and bought a 10 gal combo tank (heater, filter and light included) and asked me what he could put in there. I told him everything... how many, what kind, how to clean it. He was going to go out and buy some chiclids - 'I could put 3 or 4 in there, right?'

My parents thought i was crazy when i walked in the door with a 55 gallon tank but now they have grown to like my fish too. My sister thinks im crazy though haha. She goes to college in a week or two so ill turn her room into a aquarium while she is away :)

Only my step dad supports my fishy habit...

everyone else is horrified at the amount I spend on them and my inability to move house... idiots. I love the house I'm in, and I want to work in the theatre industry, which surprise surprise... is in London! hahahahhaaaa

Mum thinks I'm addicted and obsessed and I've replaced my eating/food/ocd etc etc with fishies so she's not supportive at all.

My hubby thinks it's a little weird but I voted yes as he isn't against it. But then, he has a similar thing with cars and ebay...
