Every single fish I've ever owned has had a name.... except for my 10 cards. I'd never be able to tell them apart, so they were just called 'the posse' :D

Just a few
Max and barney the bettas
Bullseye and sonic the bolivian rams
Blind Pew the one eyed gold barb
and Rosemary West my female killer krib :hey:

I gave my oscars full names. Montie Leroy Pithon the third, Ciara Margret Boudalaire. My mollies even deserve full names lol. My angelfish get graceful names like Kopix Martix Pheonix and Baset Cailia Tirgis. It is quite injoyable naming fish.

I've been naming my cichlids....but...like I did with my gouramis, I'll call them by their names for a few months, then I'll just forget.

Yes I name a few of mine. All of my bettas names are the same which is Mr.betta, my common plecos name is sucide, and my 3 black tetras names are the 3 musketeers and my 2 long finned black tetras names are Mike and Ike.

I named my puffer fish Butters. Actually his full name is Butter-Scotch Potbelly Poodin. I gave him a cute name. I plan to name the next puffer I get (if I do get one) Noodles....hheehehehee..

The fish it is possible to differntiate are named (the bettas, most of the larger fish) but some of the others are collectively named ("The Mouths" for the pictus) however the larger shoals of fish (neon, dawn and blue tetras, elegans cories etc.) are not named.

I checked yes but only a few. My daughter names all of her livebearers and she remembers every single one of them. Of course they all look a little different. I have 5 hatchetfish who generally I can not tell apart. Also 3 male Gouramies who almost look indetical & 3 upside down cats. So they get generic names like Fred, George, Bob and so on. Hopefully they don't get offended if I call them by the wrong name.

Ok, here are my names for my fish.

10g betta setup has Froh, Loge, and Donner

15g 1 named betta named Fasolt, corydoras habrosus known collectively as " The Norns", 3 bridget rasboras known collectively as "The Rhinemaidens" (though their actual sex is unknown), a school of Rasboras known collectively as "The Gibichungs"

3 plakat bettas named Hagen, Alberich, and Mime.

1 VT betta named Siegmund.

I am a big Wagner fan, so all my fish are named for characters of the ring cycle.

I am a big :nerd: :nerd: :nerd:
