Disgustingly Small Betta Tanks On Ebay

What surprises me is why the store owners stock these small cups, when they could easily sell 2.5-5 gallon tanks and tell their employees to tell the people to buy that and a heater. More profit for the company and happier and healthier bettas.

Haven't read through all this thread but there seems to me to be quite a few people around (including quite a few LFS workers) who will go mad at you for keeping fighters in small jars, vases and bowls etc but will quite happily keep their fighters in unheated and unfiltered tanks.

Isn't that just as bad as keeping them in small surroundings ?
