Differences Between Male And Female Rotkeils

I recently got a bargain of a 2" Female Rotkeil for £4

I still have the option of getting more if i wanted to...so i wanted to know, are the females drastically uglier than the males? i have heard they can be quite drab?...i only want to end up with 2 and was hoping to have 1 red spotted and one Rotkeil.

Whats the major differences? (i know about the fin shape differences)
