DAPHNIA, BREED YOUR OWN?

Hi does anyone know how to go about breeding daphnia

there is an article about live foods in 2004 Aquarium USA annual mag....Daphinia seem like they could be a challange but the guy doesnt give too much info but his name is GaryElson and this article might be availible online.....

I have had some success breeding daphnia in large buckets in the garden just place a bag of daphnia from the lfs into a bucket of dechlorinated water and let nature take its course.The only trouble is that they dont do well in extreem weather conditions,in the winter they die when the bucket freezes and in the summer they die if the water gets to warm,but it saves a little money during the spring and autum.
