Dalmatians Turning Black :/

I'm sure not all Mollies do this, but all of the dalmatian mollies I've had have changed, either grown darker or turned gray in one case.

I bought a beautiful male Dalmatian molly a few months back and he looked like this:

And now he looks like this:

Not a problem or anything, but does anyone else have mollies that darken? lol

Juvenile mollies often do not have their adult coloration. Almost any fish you find at the LFS is a juvenile so you can reasonably expect them to adjust to their final color pattern as they mature. I had some nice gold colored molly fry that looked a bit dalmatian when born but gradually took on that golden color pattern buy the time they were about 6 months old.
