The "dump tank" community tank

so the original few fry I saw in this tank, have continued to grow, I saw 2 of them this morning, that are now about 1 inch long... still can't identify if they are mollys or swords...

well I now have 3 sizes of fry in this tank, biggest being about 1 inch, as pictured above, another small group at 1/2 inch, and a few seen, at 1/4 inch...

the are also some really small fish, that I knew were green sailfin mollys...

I suspect all those I listed as fry, are from the wild type sword fish, as those female have gone from fat to normal a few times in the last month or so...

if I decide to get serious about breeding these, I'll want to get another trio... stealing from the "prepper mantra" one is none... and with only one mature male, anything could happen to him...

so the bigger fry in this tank, appear to be getting spots… so maybe the swords, rather than sailfin molly’s, that were my 2 1st guesses

no goodies… I see dan has some though…

Between local fish stores, and an online rehoming site, there is never ending demand for colorful, live bearers.
Wow! I can hardly give away my black bar endlers at my fish club monthly auction.

I would love to have the problem of a dump tank LOL. So far, the only fish I've ended up with too much of, I sell at the auction or just post on my fish club's website and give them for free.

I've only had to do that with Kribensis, butterfly goodeids and black bar endlers. I'm hoping to have to do it with German Blue RAms soon- I have a pair that are finally catching on to parenting, so I'm getting there.

saw 3 orange dwarf crayfish this morning, at tank feeding… most times actually seeing one, is a treat… these two were about 6 inches apart…
