So now i am researching what fish i can have in a 60L = 16 GALLON tank

I am thinking maybe 2 dwarf gouramis one male one female and 4 Albino Corys or maybe Pygmy corys and a shole of about 10 Halaquins

Would that be overstocking my tank or would i have room for maybe a few male guppies.

Also any suggestion on other fish are welcome because they above are just a rough idea

Cheers

EDIT

Just like to point out not all the fish will be going in at the sametime there will be a few weeks between each species

welll if you had pygmy i would recomend a shoal of 6-8 because they are very low waste producers, and if you went albino (which are bronze corys id say 4-6)but add 6 fish every month the gouramis last

I must disagree here.

One of the main benefits of the fishless cycle is that the filter is primed to handle the bio-load from a full tank of fish, plus a bit more.

If you add a few fish at first, wait a few weeks and then add some more, the additional bacteria have died off and you have lost the benefit of fishless cycling and risk ammonia spikes (the same as would happen had you not fishless cycled).

I would advise to add all the fish together if possible.

The only concern I would have is that corys tend to like a mature tank, but if you aren't willing to wait 6 months to get them, i'd say they are as well to be added with everything else.

Also, i'd recommend a minimum of 6 corys regardless of which type, and a sand substrate (the corys will love to dig in it, I find corys tend to be a bit lost in gravel tanks).

Good luck, and let us know how it goes. :good:

BTT

If leaving the corys 6 months is the best option i will go for that :good:

There should be no trouble adding all the other fish together i can get some guppies for free and my LFS have Harlaquins for £1:50 each not sure about price of dwarf gouramis tho
