I’d love Corys but there’s none suit my water.

I’ve mentioned it to the old boy on the corner who keeps a hectic 6’ popular livebearer tank and said he had some years ago but couldn’t get them to breed so gave up on em. He’s not sure if the tank was too busy or the water/PH to hard/high?
He says his mate in the next street has bred a few types of Cory in species tanks but only those suited to the hardest water. Hes got full size Corys that spend as much time swimming mid tank as on the bottom which apparently drives his mate nuts as hes got a crowded mid tank and wants something for the bottom! I’m presuming these are Elegant Corys?

Can't say, there's a few that can handle "hard" water, but 268ppm/15DH is the limit on all the harder water ones.
Elegans is one of those, but there's others.
I dunno my cories don't stay on the bottom all the time they go all over.
