Discus and angels can be housed together, WITH caution, think you'd have to have the right personality fish though so i wouldn't want to go through the trial and error to find out personally, if you did want to attempt best bet would be to buy small angels and let them grow up with them, but still never know what happens when they get big. Discus and rams are a good duo deffo no to firemouths :good:

i bought 6 angels i have 1 rainbow shark 2 firemouths and getting 8 bleeding heart tetras and a pearl gourami :fun: so no need for discus, I will hope to keep them as a distant dream

Fair enough  For future reference then.

Discus are very rewarding fish though full of personality and some will let you stroke them and they'll watch tv and such which is amusing :)

Haha awsome, my blue rams let my stroke them, who has noticed how easy curious fish are to catch, when I was catching my angels I caught 6 fish in 6 swipes in 13 seconds  my angelfish are soooo settled in now

I would strongly advise not to stroke discus because your removing their slime coat

if you want to stroke a pet by a dog or cat

yes i dont stroke my rams, they just play around my hand, its sooo cute

btw i see lots of heckel discus with wild looking markings, are those wild caught or tank bred? if they are wild caught you will find they can tolerate far lower ph's of down to 5.5! quite amazing. Just shows the water swings out in the wild

Wilds can go lower than that. But they can't tolerate any higher than 6.5.

Ya, only irritating part, the fish are doing great only thing is I ran out of chlorine buffer :(

Get more asap. Don't pour water directly from the tap into the tank until you do.

You mean dechlorinator right? buffering usually means increasing. There'd be no reason to buffer chlorine besides wanting to kill your fish.
