Co2 System?

Just wondering if i will need one for my new set up.
The tank is just over 50 US gallons, and both sides will have a large anubias or two, leaving only 1 and half foot in the middle with free space...
if you know what i mean?

What do you think?

Its got 2 different bulbs and im pretty sure ones UV because the previous owner kept turts.

If you change the bulbs for daylight ones, especially for plant growth (like Gro-lux) then don't bother to get CO2 with anubias, just dose some ferts now and then. Anubias are not demanding plants and grow under low light.

Even if it was fairly heavily planted?

I've just found which juwel it is. rio 240 with the original lighting, if that helps?

try not to use to high light though, Anubias grow quite slow and algae may take over if the light is to high.

are they T5's or T8's?

how old is the tank?

i think it was 2007/2008 when Juwel introduced T5 lighting. It probably doesn't say on the tubes anymore, but have a look at tubes and see if there is any writting.

If it is a Juwel with the original lighting you will have the T8s. 2 T8s for anubias should be fine.

yep, T8's are better for Anubias if your not adding C02.
