Clown Loach Question

I have 5 clown loachs and an adult Oscar in my 150 gallon. When I got the 150 gallon several weeks ago I had planned to put my ocscar loachs and terror in there. Well that didn't work out had to take the terror out the first day. After that I thought I would try to find suitable tankmates for him but came to the realization that theres not a whole lot to pick from. What I have decided to do is to put my Oscar back in the 75 were he was originally and the terror thats in there now by himself well be going in a 55 that I will be getting soon. Now with the 150 I have decided I want to go with a Mbuna tank. Now I have seen a lot of tanks like this with clowns in it but I know that doesn't mean anything. What I was wondering is should I put the clowns in with the oscar in the 75 which they get along fine or should I leave them in the 150 with the soon to be mbunas. My main concerns with with is them getting picked on and the ph. Right now my ph is at 7.4 but I know I will have to raise it for the mbunas. Thanks in advance to those who reply!

Ps: Before the 150 I had the clowns oscar and 3 tinfoil barbs in the 75 but recently the 3 barbs have died.

That is a bit of a pickle.
I'd say, simply because of the aggression issues and pH, leave the clowns in the 75g. The max pH they can tolerate is about 7.7, you'd have to go about 8 to 8.4 with those cichldids.
The 75g should be big enough for them and one Oscar, providing you of course introduce them slowly etc.

The recognised p.h for a Clown Loach is between 6.5 to 7.0 but if acclimatised correctly they can handle higher.

My p.h is 8.0 you got to love Surrey water NOT!

My Clown's, Kuhli's and Zebra Loaches are all very healthy and Happy in 8.0 p.h

If the whole of surrey's pH is 8, I think we finally know where the worlds breeding populations of cichlids are

I wouldn't really push them any further to be honest, that is really on the limit of how much their little bodies can withstand.

Would use the 75 gal for cichlids and leave the oscar and clowl loaches in the 150 gal. They will need the room with clowns capable of sixteen inches and Oscars nearly the same.

What measurements is your tank the 150g?

i wouldn't keep clown loach's in alkaline water or with african cichlids. they may survive in them conditions but thats all they'll be doing

I would also keep the Oscar and Clowns in the 150, along with maybe some Silver Dollars and possibly a Severum or similar.
Then have the mbuna setup in the 75G and the GT in the 55G along with a group of Giant Danios and 2 or 3 Hoplo catfish

how do you think i feel? my tap water PH is 5.8!

My 150 is 72x18x30. I have two green terrors both in tanks by themselves ones about as big as the oscar the other is smaller. I put the smaller one in with the oscar. Once in awhile the oscar would chase it for a second just letting him know he runs the tank and the terror would just run. Well later in the day after the oscar did this a few times the terror turned around and fought back only lasted like a sec. I thought they might be ok thinking the terror was just showing him that he wasnt going to take it. Later that night when I turned the lights off the terror backed the oscar up in a corner. The oscar kept opening his mouth wide showing how big it was. Finally they went at it I ran over and broke it up and took the terror out.
