Spank i have 1 word for you, STUNNING!
That is a corker mate, what fish have you got? Any chance of some close ups of the fish? I think i can see a firemouth.
Cheers, Joemuz

  thanks,

I've spent the best part of my student loan this year on this tank, been commuting into uni for the past few months instead of renting a place closer, it's also taken a lot of time out of my studying..... so errrm, I guess it's nice to have something to show for channeling my energies into not studying.... (god I hope I don't fail the year becaus of this   )

anyways the full current stock list is

2 X Festivum
2 X Blue Acara (although 1 of them is questionable, I won't find out till she's older -_- )
2 X Fire Mouths
3 X Cockatoo Dwarves
2 X Apistogramma Hongsloi
6 X Congo Tetra
3 X Yoyo Loach....Once I devise a way of catching them they're going to a new home as they pester the apisto's so they won't spawn
6 X Adolfoi Cories
5 X Otto's..... more to be added or maybe and SAE if I can track some down, there's not nearly enough alage eating power,

There's also 1 Lone Black neon in there left over from my old tank, I've spent hours trying to get him out to take back to the LFS but he just doesn't wanna go, I think I may have to resign myself to getting another 5 more so that he's in a shoal again

Close ups of some of the inhabitants are here.....
Linky linky

Thanks everyone again for the kind words
Hank

:shout: Ha I'll be sure to quote you if I have to go see the progress committee (the peeps who are in charge of kicking people off my course) at the end of the year!

i had the same problem with yoyo loaches :shifty: :shifty: :shifty: they are annoying little buggers right. i had to take everything out of my tank and use 2 nets to get them. They arent as bad as a red tailed shark though  he drove me crazy, even with everything out he could not be caught. after half an hour we finally got him

lol... you think those guys are a pain? Try catching a 2" pleco in a 90gallon tank... without removing rocks... Not fun lol

I don't know how I'm gonna get the 3 of them out, I posted before asking people solutions but none of them worked..... I'm trying to devise some kind of trap for them involving a coke bottle and some sort of one way flap at the bottle mouth

Have you tried removing everything in the tank? including the other fish (temp), then having a friend with another net spook them into your net?

you want to try catching my two inch plec <rocket>in my 148 gallon tank  still havent got it yet....wait till next time i remove rocks for scrubbing then iam gonna get ya

   hhahahah that sounds like it'll be LOADS of fun :p

The slate and wood aren't the issue, as you said, it's easy to take that stuff out but it's the plants that I don't want to destroy in the process of getting them out, and even with everything out the tank, it's not easy catching 3 sneaky loaches in a 5ft tank......oh and I don't have any friends

how do you not have any friends? lol you have all of us here on TFF :)

Apart from me i hate you!
Onli joking mate, im cant exactly talk lol! :good:
