Checking Sex Of My Blue Acara

Look at its tail,Fin shape and Face...also the tear drop is behind the Eye on a Gold Saum....inline with the eye on a Acara.

That picture from Grumpy is definitely a Gold Saum.

And Marks is definitely one of the other Aequedins....not Pulcher but probably Latifrons,either way one of the peaceful smaller types.

Suspect Marks come from the same place mine came from - Wildwoods - and sold as wild caugh BA.

Will stick a post up when I get a minute, certainly looks fairly similar (if you ignore the colouration from flash.)

mine came from my lfs they had 2 of them he was the best looking 1 and was marked up as w/c blue acara

Not even vaguely similar? you having a laugh? look at my latifrons above, he was i.d' by a collecter of this spectrum of what used to be called Aequdins (now known as Andinoacara) that includes Latifrons,Pulcher,coeruleopunctatus,Gold Saum,Silver Saum,Rivulatus etc..
