My tank is in my bedroom, and the wife isn't too happy with me, as when I took out the silver dollars, water went everywhere, as well as the tinfoils deciding to jump out onto the floor and have some fun :(

I need to remove two tinfoil barbs (about 6-7 inches long) with a minimal amount of fuss, mess and jumping about. The LFS (Aquazoo in croydon) have lent me a bucket with a lid to stop them jumping out of that. Anyone got any other ideas?

Are there any chemicals I can use to almost 'knock' the fish out a bit so they don't cause too much splashing?

Something like Sera Aqutan maybe to calm them a bit?

Cheers,

Jee

drain the tank to half full, take out all the ornamemts and decor, then get 2 nets and use one tp chase the fish into the other. soon as you have the fish in lift it out of the water and cup the net with your hand then transfer them into the lidded bucket as quick as you can. the trick is in the preparation, get everything set up first and it's a breeze :good:

Cheers :)

I don't have any plants anyhow, as everything gets munched or moved round by the fish.

Nice Parrot fish btw - mine are a similar size :)
