I'm putting together a new 33 gal aquarium and have a question about sand.
I have a mixture of carib-sea tahiti moon sand and carib-sea zebra gravel. Instead of looking black it looks more like grey - which is not the effect I was going for.
I want to scoop out some of the white gravel and replace it with more black sand.
So my question is - could I use pool filter sand ? I've read about it being a cheap alternative to carib-sea tahiti moon but wasnt sure if I could mix the two.
Thanks
