i have one for mine, how much light do you have ? you can either use a d.i.y or buy it from the shops . i have an electronic one i can adjust it to how much i need be for i had a d.i.y it seemed to work well but i went to Thailand and they were selling them at the market there so cheap so i had to get it it takes carbon refills i think it works great but i have 2.8 w pg if you don't have much light u wont need it as much but to your answer yes i think its much better then a d.i.y

well, i dont know how much light i have, casue i dont know how to calculate it, but i have a singlr tube outlet with a power glo tube in it.

i have been lookin at the Nutrafin Natural Plant System CO2 unit's cause i can get them cheap from a place in canada and casue i dont really wanna buy one that is too expensive and i dont really trusted myself on a DIY one....lol but i think it may be worth while investing in a digital one.

how big is your tank ? if u only have a 40w tube i dont think co2 will do much for you unless u have a very small tank i have a 4 foot tank and i have 200 w
