Was red hot

Anyway left the tank in the trusty hands of my dad and my new fluval 106

Came back to find almost 15 babies gone and my 3 neons :-(

Got a secondary tank off my sister before I went away, cleaned it up today it's approx 30 litre

Tried putting my old 450 litres per hour pump in it but it's too tall, can you get pumps that are landscape rather than portrait?

Or can they run at a 45 degree angle?

Gonna use it as a secondary tank or babies / fry

Can't really afford another external right now either

Cheers

Why use a 450 lph filter on a 30 liter tank? Why not just buy a HOB to do the job? Cheap and efficient, and basically put of the way.

An air driven sponge filter would be the best option. You can seed it by wiping it around the inside of your external or squeezing one of the sponges out next to it when its running. The most safest filter for a fry tank. They're usually a couple of quid from your LFS.

You got any links for one?
