i need a new liquid fert, what is best seachem or tropica? it is a moderately planted tank with vallis, java fern, swords, crypts, anubias. i use co2 already.

Tropica has stronger concentrations of elements, what lighting do you have & what size tank?

120l, only 30w t8 atm but i am going to stick a 30w t6 in there which has 40% more than t8. so there will be 1x30w t8 and 1x30w t6. which will be over 2wpg.

thats what i went for. 500ml of it!! how much do you recommend a day dosing? 3ml?

i would start at 5ml. I dose this on my 60l, which is a lot i know but with the high lighting i have (2.7wpg PC T5) i need it! (or at least my plants do!)

ok. i will have just over 2wpg so 5ml sounds reasonable.

aim for 1ml per 20l as a starting point, then adjust as necassary.

ok thanks. i will up my co2 from 1 2l bottle to 2, to aid in stability and plus i need more. i need to aim for 30ppm right?

yes, how are you measuring?

really with those light levels, you need pressurized CO2, if ever it fluctuateds or drops then you will get algae
