hi, i have been looking into getting a second light tube for my tank. I have been researching for months now and im baffled!!! the tube i already have is only a 30w and thus i only get 1wpg. (i already dose co2 and ferts). i have decided to get a t6 tube (30w t6) as they have a higher output than t8's but the fit the end caps etc. so i want to get a single starter unit, i have settled on this, Arcadia Ultra Seal Fluorescent Single Light Control Units. along with this and the tube, i dont know what else i will need. things like clips/brushings, waterproof end caps etc. there are so many things i need (i think). so can someone try to give me a definitive list for what i will need and where i can get it from, so i know what to buy, as i am sooo confused. ??? i would like to get as much of the stuff from one place to save on delivery charges. thanks. any help will be immense as i feel so dumb when it comes to lighting!!

the ballasts you buy come with the clips needed to hold the tube in place, they usually state if not but these are cheap, just buy the correct size (like T5, T8 etc) and the end caps are fitted (as that is where the power comes from) the only thing you need for T6 to make it waterproof is this:

thinking about it you might want to order some T5 clips because T8 clips will be too large for the T6 tube so i am not entirely sure it will work,

do you know where i can get the starter unit from? i have seen that the arcadia one only has a lead length of 50cm which is way to short. i will nead a length of at least1m preferably 1.5m or 2m. i really need the help? can someone recommend me a starter unit with a good length lead that will take a 30w t8 tube! thanks!
