Evening all, looking for some help.

I've had my new tank set up for about 8/10 week and all has been fine, until the last couple of weeks where brown algae has been forming on the glass and the sand, it's very easy to remove but comes back very quickly.

I'm under stocked and over filtered and my parameters are spot on (have testing kit) the light is on for no more than 4/5 hours a day unless it's the weekend.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, ive kept tanks for the last 7/8 year and never had this before.

Many thanks
Craig

Nothing wrong. If your water parameters are right then only thing you can do is buy an algae eater or clean it yourself. It happens in a lot of new tanks. Well, let me ask how long do you have the lights on?

looks like brown diatoms it will go by itself after a few weeks fairly common in new tanks
