British Cichlid Association, Brand New E-Subscription.

Hi everyone, great news!! at the last British cichlid association convention it was voted in favour of having a cheaper E-subscription as well as the more traditional subscription..

It is now possible to join the BCA as a online member for only £5 per year(Normal subscription was £20 and costs were rising!)..

For this small subscription cost you will receive

. 6 downloadable copies per year of the BCA cichlid publication 'Cichlidae'
. Reduced rates to enter BCA events
. Full voting rights.
. Membership card and number
. Entry to the members only sections on both BCA website and forum.

The new subscription has been very well supported in the few days since its introduction! we have many new members already and hope that we can build the BCA back into one of the largest clubs in the UK.

Definitely! Unfortunately, I only visit UK occasionally now (I moved abroad a couple of years ago), so this option did not come soon enough for me, but I hope one of my visits happens to coincide with some of the events.

To be fair, I realise that £20 is not much and can actually afford that now, but when one is a broke student and not able to attend any of the events because travel is too expensive...

I know what you mean, £20 can be too much but £5 is easily affordable for everyone.. I dont smoke anymore but some people spend £5 per day on a packet of cigarettes, others can easily spend that much on their lunch break in work!! £5 does not buy much these days so its great to be able to offer this BCA subscription where people can pay £5 and receive a full 6 issues of the Best cichlid magazine in the UK plus other benefits.

Many have already taken us up on this subscription so the BCA is currently one of the most active cichlid sites around..See you there..
