lol nice idea, but will that not just soak the wood in chlorine treated water? somewhat more harmful than tannins i think you would agree.

i never thought of that?? ? i did soak mine in treated water by accident, filled a buck of water for the tank treated it then relised i didn't need it? is the way it should be done from the start?
