I have one tank with cold water fish - containing standard goldfish, black moors, orandas and a weather loach. All seem fine apart from one oranda who lost an eye and has now lost his remaining eye.

I assume that somebody must have eaten his eyes as I am not aware of any disease which makes eyes go red and drop out?

Do I just have to terminate this poor oranda as he now just floates about - scared to swim and probably doesn't get any food?? :(

hmmmm go to www.fishdoc.co.uk you might find some help on their or www.goldfishparadise.com specialises in goldfish alone might be worth registering it dont cost anything.

Goodluck

a friend in that goldfish forum said it was pop eye, Are your other fish ok that are in the same tank?

Yup - everybody else is going about their normal daily routine without signs of eye disease or any other come to that. I will watch and get prepared for treatment or seperation if needs be. :look:
